Summary of Pr. Mbewe's USA Tour to Promote ACU
 What a privilege it was to have Pastor Conrad Mbewe minister to us in the USA for 10 days while he traveled around with Dr. Ken and Lisa Turnbull to promote the vision and opportunity for African Christian University. From the perspective of ACU-USA, the trip was a complete success as the enthusiasm for the project amongst the American churches and organizations visited was clearly apparent.
Dr. Ken Turnbull, Executive Director of ACU, says, "The wonderful opportunity that is available for us to assist the Zambian church in such a God-glorifying endeavor is truly a privilege. It is readily apparent that God has been doing a work in Zambia through the Reformed Baptist churches that is unlike anything anywhere else. This completely indigenous church has been self-sufficient and fruitfully supporting and successfully planting more than 40 doctrinally solid churches in Zambia and beyond their borders for more than 20 years. Pastor Mbewe represents an entire association of pastors who faithfully teach the deepest truths of God through the exposition of the Scriptures and Gospel proclamation on par with the most gifted preachers that the global church has today. Nearly every member of each church is involved in organized outreach as every ministry of the churches are outward-focused. God is doing a work here in Zambia that is having global impact, and the time and place for such an extension into holistic, Christ-centered, tertiary education is now in Zambia."
